Le difficoltà del mercato
In tutti i Paesi del mondo si allevano le api e la diminuzione di produzione di miele, dovuta all’emergenza climatica e alla siccità, è cosa comune.
La Cina è stata l’unica ad aumentare la produttività.
Nonostante, proprio nel Paese più popoloso del mondo, inquinamento, deforestazione e uso di pesticidi, abbiano portato alla quasi totale scomparsa delle api.
Com’è possibile allora che la Cina produca ed esporti oltre le 400 tonnellate di miele in tutto il mondo?
Pensate che solo l’ Italia ne importa da loro circa 80 tonnellate.
Due vasetti su tre, del miele che trovate sugli scaffali, provengono proprio dall’Asia orientale.
La risposta alle problematiche
Per tutti i motivi elencati, le associazioni che tutelano gli apicoltori in Europa gridano alla frode alimentare.
La denuncia riguarda:
- l’aggiunta di sciroppi zuccherini all’interno di piccole quantità di vero miele,
- l’uso di metodi non conformi alle norme europee, come l’ accelerazione dei processi di deumidificazione e maturazione del miele
Sì, perchè, mentre in Cina queste pratiche sono permesse, in Europa sono illegali. Poiché privano il prodotto finale di tutte le caratteristiche e le proprietà tipiche del miele, rendendolo semplicemente un dolcificante.
Proprio per questi motivi la CIA ha proposto all’Ue di imporre, ai mieli di importazione da Paesi terzi, le conformità richieste in Europa, effettuando alle frontiere maggiori controlli specifici che scovino adulterazioni sempre più sofisticate.
Ma quindi, com’è un VERO miele?
Voi sapreste come riconoscere un miele contraffatto da uno realmente prodotto dalle api?
